The full programme of speakers and workshops for this year’s Sports Summit has been released.

In addition to the previously announced speakers and workshops, we are pleased to confirm that we will be joined by Hitesh Patel, Head of International Sport, Major Events and Anti-Doping at Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

Hitesh will be joining the workshop on The Gold Framework and future of major events alongside Simon Morton from UK Sport. Both will explore how UK Sport’s major events bidding strategy works and how organisations can use major events to support their development.

There will also be a talk from Dr Justin Varney, National Lead for Adult Health and Wellbeing at Public Health England. Dr Varney will be discussing the relationship between sport and the public health agenda.

Taking place on 4 June at the Kia Oval, the Summit is bringing together leaders from across sport and the commercial sector from organisations such as:

We will be using the event to launch a major new programme of work we will be delivering here at the Alliance which will tackle the issue of ensuring the sector is ‘fit for the future’.

The full programme for the Summit is available to download here.

Tickets for the Sports Summit are available to purchase.
