The Sport and Recreation Alliance is looking for founder members to shape the work of its new Tax Working Group.
The Alliance is forming a series of new member working groups to tackle some of the most pressing issues affecting the sport and recreation sector.
The latest to launch is the Tax Working Group, which will be focussing its attention on tax and fiscal issues affecting the sector.
The working group will examine a wide range of key issues, ranging from corporation tax, business rates and VAT, through to Gift Aid and athlete endorsement income.
We are looking to recruit memebers to the group which will:
The Alliance is now asking its members for expressions of interest in joining the Tax Working Group as core members.
Those who are interested in participating are asked to contact David Foster, outlining their particular areas of interest and experience.
Please send these expressions of interest by 28 May.
Once expressions of interest have been received, the Alliance will aim to set up a meeting at some point in July.
A number of other working groups are also being set up and will cover a range of areas including physical activity in schools, public health and governance.
