HM Treasury and the Department for Communities and Local Government have launched a joint discussion paper about the administration of business rates in England.
The Government has not made any proposals in the document, but instead is seeking views from ratepayers and local authorities about how business rates should be administered from 2017.
In particular, the Government would like views from interested stakeholders on the following issues:
If sports clubs or governing bodies have specific issues in any of these areas that they wish to raise then they are encouraged to respond to the consultation before the deadline on 6 June 2014.
