The Sport and Recreation Alliance has signed up to the Wild Network to help get young people outside and rediscovering their wild sides.

The Wild Network is a collaboration of more than a 1,000 organisations – from schools and children’s charities to the NHS and the National Trust – committed to getting children outside more.

Over the coming year the network will encourage the Government to sign up to a broad range of commitments, in order to help reconnect children with nature and rediscover their wild sides.

Andy Reed, Chair of the Sport and Recreation Alliance said:

“We firmly believe in the Wild Network’s mantra that every child should have the right to access nature and the outdoors for play, learning, expression and healthy mind and body development.

“Our members do a fantastic job of connecting children with nature and the outdoors and by supporting this network we hope to continue in this vein.

“We encourage as many of our members as possible to throw their weight behind the movement and look forward to playing a key role in getting more kids reaping the benefits of nature.”
