The Sport and Recreation Alliance’s vision is to be at the heart of a world-leading sport and recreation sector.
As the independent voice for the sector, we champion sport and recreation and deliver unrivalled services that enable our members to thrive. And we are looking for ‘the one’ – a Chief Executive to provide the organisation, and our members, with inspirational leadership.
Like any organisation worth its salt, and certainly one that has been around for 80 years, the Alliance is evolving and how we change now will determine how we perform in the future.
2014 will be a defining year in the history of the Alliance, not least because for the first time in almost a decade we are appointing a new Chief Executive to prepare us for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
We are looking for someone special – a dynamic, adaptable and charismatic CEO who can lead the Alliance through a period of change and deliver consistently strong results on the other side.
You’ll need to have good experience of harnessing a team and working to a plan to meet clear objectives.
You’ll be skilled at business development and building commercial relationships and revenues. A track record of fine political judgement will come in useful, as will experience of collaborative working and relationship management at the highest levels.
To apply or to find out more about the role, contact David Slemen by email or phone 07967 739348.
